Bats in the Valley

A bat flying in a cave.

Did you know that bats can find food in the dark by using a special skill called echolocation?

Join us for an evening of discovery with Cylita Guy, PhD Candidate and Toronto’s bat expert, as we watch and learn about bats in the Don Valley. We’ll learn how these night creatures are fundamental to the health of our ecology and can be often misunderstood.

We’ll begin indoors with a presentation and will later head out at dusk to look for signs of bats by ‘listening to the night’ and identifying bats using special 'bat detectors'. Come and get batty for bats with us!

Admission is free but please register as space is limited. Meet at Blake's Room on the 2nd Floor in the Young Welcome Centre.
